Tommy, age 69 of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 in the presence of his family.
Tommy was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was awarded the Viet Nam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was retired from General Motors on January 1, 2004 after 35 years of service.
He enjoyed offshore fishing out of the Indian River inlet, and watching football especially college level football.
Tommy was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia A McNemar Marino; his second wife Margaret F. Marino; a grandson, Russell Strawser, Jr.; three step sons, Lonnie, Sammy and Victor and a step daughter, Linda. He is survived by his wife of his last seven years, June A. Wright Marino, who was devoted to him to the end; his son, Tommy III ( Karen) Marino; his daughters, Dana (Kenny) George and Arlene (Russell Sr.) Strawser; his step sons, Chuckie Carter, William Wright and George (Kim) Hollis; step daughter, Belinda Hollis; three brothers, Tony, Butchie and Joe Marino; two sisters, Jenny and Diana; many grand and great grandchildren.
