Scott “Field” Brooks, age 51, of North Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
Scott attended Holy Rosary Grade School and was a 1989 graduate of Howard High School of Technology. He was a life long self employed contractor. Scott enjoyed trips to Disney with his family, watching John Wayne movies, music, guitars and the outdoors, especially hunting. He was a Philadelphia sports fan and will be remembered for his laid back personality. He always had candy to satisfy his sweet tooth.
Scott is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 28 years, Joanne Brooks; his daughters who he adored, Alexis Pitts (Nicholas) and Amanda Brooks; parents, Jane Brooks and Charlie Brooks; siblings, Charles Brooks, Robert Brooks (Melissa), Kimberly Brady (Edward), Steven Brooks (Marriann), and James Brooks (Betsy); mother-in-law, Joanne Rooks; brother-in-law, Mark Jordan, sister-in-law, Lisa Jordan (Kenny); many nieces, nephews and other extended family and his dog, Buttercup Brooks.
Memorial Services will be at 11 am on Wednesday, January 26 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, Delaware 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will be private.
