Sharon Brittingham

Sharon A. Brittingham, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Sharon was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter Sherry who lived with her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Christie Riley and Anthony Brittingham; her son, John “Jake” Brittingham; her parents, George and Anna Ferris and other family members.

Survivors include her husband, John F. Brittingham; her daughters, Debbie Riley (Michael), Kimberly Neel (John) and Sherry Brittingham; brother, Mark Ferris; sister, Debbie Mealey (Lester); grandchildren, Johnny Neel, Jeremy Neel and Hunter Steinmacher; great granddaughter, Gabbi Giles and family dog, Onyx.

Funeral Services will be at 2pm on Tuesday, October 5 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.

Contributions may be made to Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
