Shayne Collins

Shayne L. Collins, age 77, of New Castle County, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Shayne was born and raised in New Hampshire where she graduated from Franklin High School. She also attended the University of Delaware. Shayne worked for Veterans Administration for almost 32 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered at the SPCA and soup kitchens over several years. Shayne loved animals and socializing with her friends. She enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and playing cards.

Ms. Collins was preceded in death by five siblings.

Shayne is survived by her daughters, Stacey Pelletier (Glenn) and Erin O’Donnell (Leo); her siblings, Marty Dustin (Diane), Barbara Arnold and John Dustin (Valerie Belyea) and her grandchildren, Madison, Hadley, Garrett and Brynn Pelletier and Laryssa and Ryan O’Donnell.

Funeral Services will be at 12 noon on Sunday, March 6 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will be private.
