Sherry Spies

January 26, 1955 — January 19, 2014

Sherry Von (Littlefield) Spies, age 58 of Newark went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2014.

She was born in St. Louis, MO on January 26, 1955 to Evelyn Littlefield and the late Lecil Littlefield Sr.

Sherry was a true caregiver at heart, who operated a day-care for over 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her daily talks with her mother and sisters.

She will be remembered for her generosity, practical jokes and sound advice, but most of all she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, mom-mom, daughter, sister and friend.

Sherry is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Donald S. Spies; children, Angela White, Donald Spies II (Pennie) and Tammy Cannon (Bill Stewart); 10 grandchildren, Marquis, Hunter, Trayvon, Zachary, Joshua, Zachary R., Samuel, Jailyn, Savannah and Viktorija. Her mother and best friend, Evelyn Littlefield; 4 sisters, Vicky Goggin, Teresa Edwards (Mike), Karen Rabe (Chuck), and Melody Miller (Danny); brother, Lecil "Bubby" Littlefield, Jr and 9 nieces and nephews. She loved them all dearly.

A Memorial Service will be 11am on Saturday, February 15 at SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE 19711 where friends may call beginning at 10am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Helen F. Graham Cancer Center. We thank them for their kindness and generosity.
