Age 60, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012 and was greeted with open arms by those who he missed so deeply, his daughter, Kim; his parents Americo and Edith; and his father-in-law, Bill Willis. Steve has fought a long battle with various illness that he has finally won with the peace of moving on from this world to another.
Steve was a Heavy Equipment Superintendent for the Canal District for DELDOT. He was also a referee, umpire and coordinator for various sports and owned "Tees To Please" business and athletic apparel company with his family. Steve was also the founder of Athletes Support Network.
Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda; his daughter, Kristi White, and her husband, John; his mother-in-law, Bea Willis; many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Steve will also be dearly missed by his dogs, Rufus and Bella.
Memorial services will be 7pm on Friday, December 21st at St. Mark's UMC, Stanton, where visitation will begin at 3:30 pm. Burial will be private.
Steve's family would like to thank all of his Doctors and Nurses that have worked so hard for his health over the past 8 years.
