Steven Edward Nichols
Newark - Age 40, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Steven worked in construction where he was very skilled with his hands. Family was very important to him. He was a active member of Newark United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School with his wife Dana and was involved in youth group activities with his daughters. He also coached his daughters baseball teams and was a "Girl Scout" Dad. Steven enjoyed cooking and grilling, bowling, watching movies and the Dallas Cowboys and listening to rock and country music. He loved reading, especially Harry Potter, scratch off lottery tickets, playing poker and beach trips. Steven was a brilliant man and his family is left with many wonderful memories.
Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Nichols.
Survivors include his daughters, Brittany Nichols and Alise Nichols; wife, Dana Reed Nichols; mother, Maria Uhrick Nichols; father, Dennis Nichols Sr (Peg); brothers, Dennis Nichols Jr (Beverly), Eric Nichols (Tiffy Jo), William Nichols and Chuck Pyle; his father in law, Edward Reed; sister in law, Debi Anglin (Stuart) and aunts, uncles, many cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, December 18 at Newark United Methodist Church 69 E. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
