Steven Wayne Stansberry, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Christiana Hospital in Newark under the care of Season’s Hospice.
Steve was a long time resident of Delaware, however he moved to New Jersey and lived with his sister, Sandra Zane (Hollis Zane) and her family for the last few years.
Steve is also survived by his daughter, Kristen Ramsey; his granddaughters, Ashley Stansberry and Bryanna Ramsey of West Virginia; his stepson, Eric Lewis of Virginia; his stepson, Eric Albert of Delaware; his stepdaughter, Josie Albert of California; his half brothers, Phil Tucker and Mark Stansberry and his half sister, Betty Stansberry; and numerous cousins and extended family members.
At Steve’s request, his body was donated to the University of Delaware for the advancement of science.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 2pm.
