Susan Symes

Susan (Sue) Ann Symes, age 53, of Middletown, DE, passed away on July 29, 2014 at Heartland Hospice in Pike Creek. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born on May 2, 1961, in Washington, DC, but has lived most of her life in Delaware. She is an alumna of John Dickinson High School ’79 and Viterbo College ’85, in LaCross, Wisconsin. She was the proud owner of Technigraphics, Inc. for 30+ years.

Sue was a member of the Newark United Methodist Church, Wilmington Rotary Club, the Middletown Chamber of Commerce and was an active supporter of the MOT Charter School.

Sue’s greatest joys were spending time with her four children and family. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Ron Symes and is survived by her mother, Judy Symes. She is survived by her 13-year old daughter Sarah and her 16-year old triplets, Jessica, Emily and Matthew; youngest sister Meagan Symes; sister Wendy Symes and her former partner Denise Bourassa; brother Greg Symes and his former wife Kris Symes and lifelong best friend Jane Mullin.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th at Newark United Methodist Church, 69 E Main St, Newark, DE 19711. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. and fellowship immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions sent for Susan’s children in c/o Wendy Symes at 137 Westside Lane, Middletown, DE 19709 or donations towards the MOT Charter School, Newark United Methodist Church, Heartland Hospice or Delaware Hospice.
