Suzanne B. Churchwell Collas, age 58, of Wilmington, died on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
Suzanne grew up in Newport. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1983 and completed the Nursing Program at the Delaware Technical Community College. Suzanne worked at Wilmington and Christiana Hospital as well as Hospice. She also worked as a homecare nurse.
Suzanne enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, boating and riding motorcycles.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Kevin, who passed in 2016 and her father, Edward Churchwell.
Survivors included her daughters, Valentina Collas (Branton Jones) and Savannah Collas (Steven Lind); mom, Sandra “Sandi” Kubicek (Ed); brothers, Don Churchwell and Brian Churchwell (Sharon); three nieces, two nephews and one great nephew.
Services will be private.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Helen Graham Cancer Center and Christiana Care Hospital for their special care.
