Thomas J. Flint, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from a long fight to lung cancer at Christiana Hospital. He was born on March 29th, 1958 to Ruth and George Flint.
He is survived by his wife Donna Dickerson whom he loved very much.
Tom was an amazing father to his two sons, Jay and Joseph and daughters in law Sara Ferrell and Melanie Stevenson. He was the best Popop to his two granddaughters Riley and Lillianna Flint whom he loved spending time with.
Tom grew up with his twin brother Bryan and siblings, Rodger, Doug and Charisse and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a fantastic painter and enjoyed drinking a beer and starting many projects. He was always found hanging with his cats and listening to Tom Petty. He had such a big heart he would do anything for anyone. He loved to have a good time partying and hanging out with his friends and family. Tom would always crack jokes and turn a dull moment into sunshine and laughter. He was the most amazing and caring man to anyone who knew him.
Tom fought for his life until his very last breath. A great man gone too soon is now an angel in heaven.
We want to thank everyone that has made this possible, we couldn’t have done it without you. Now we can lay Thomas to rest peacefully. We all love you very much Tom, rest in peace.
Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Thursday, February 6 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
