Tia Marie Ambrose
1982-2021
Wilmington- Tia passed peacefully on January 16, 2021 at the age of 38 at Christina hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Hilda Ambrose and uncle William Ambrose.
Tia was known for her fun loving ways and the laughter she brought. Tia loved to laugh so much she was more commonly known as “Giggles”. Giggles’ laughter was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Tia spent her working years in food servicing as she aspired to own her own restaurant. Her aspirations stemmed from her nurturing soul. Tia cared deeply for the ones she loved and would often show this by hosting BBQs or cookouts and making her famous chicken cacciatore.
Her proudest moments in life were the births of her three beautiful children. She was a very devoted mother and loved to watch them play, learn and grow. Although their time together was cut so short, Tia’s love and care will still go on as her children have gained a guardian angel.
Tia was survived by her children Alex, Alyssa, and Aston and their father Alexix Ballard; her mother Ellen Potter; her father Ronnie Leslie; her aunt Frances Wardell; her sister, Kathryn Russell; her brothers, Shawn and Pedro "PJ" Ambrose and Robert Wardell; and many, many cousins, nephews, nieces, godchildren and friends.
Private services are being held. In lieu of flowers, to honor Tia, the family requests that contributions be made to Frances Wardell in care of her children.
