Tracy Ann Sullenberger Bird, affectionately known as Birdie, of Wilmington, age 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tracy is survived by her children, Stacie Thomas (Jamie), Gary Thomas (Danielle), Samuel Bird, & Sarah Bird (Jessie); granddaughters, Marissa & Sofia; grandson Emerson; sister, Linda Marroni (Alan); brothers, Jack Sullenberger (Melissa), James Sullenberger (Johnna), & Chris Sullenberger (Jennifer); and an abundance of nieces and nephews whom she all loved. Let’s not forget her therapy cat, Cuddles.
Tracy was happily married to Samuel Bird, who predeceased her by 15 years. Their shared words were, "The Romance Lives".
Tracy had the one hobby that can actually love you in return...her family. Tracy loved to spend time with her family and her family loved to spend time with her. She always brought the best sense of humor and love to everyone.
In the words of Tracy, "What keeps me sane at this point in my life is my family my friends and especially my children. In ending please, please, please stay on top of your health and ladies get your freaking mammograms. With love, always."
