Velma Pannell, age 91, of New Castle, formerly of Kennett Square, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Velma worked as a CNA at Little Sisters of the Poor and was also a private caregiver. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and enjoyed helping with the Girl Scouts.
Velma liked Italian wine, burgers, ice cream and chocolate. She loved her cats very much and enjoyed everyone that came to visit her.
Velma is preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Joseph Pannell, and other siblings and friends.
Survivors include her brothers, Michael Pannell, of New Castle, and John Pannell, of Elkton; sister, Judy; sister in law, Shelia (Calvin); nephews, Michael Joe Pannell and Joseph (Christina) Pannell.
Services and burial will be private.
