Vincent Garfield Slingwine, age 46, of New Castle, went to be with The Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
Vince's passion for welding became his life long career. During his career Vince made many lifelong friendships, from the small welding jobs to refinery positions. Vince's favorite pastime that he most enjoyed was fishing,camping 4-wheeling, and the outdoors. He also liked to play cards and he would never turn down a game. Vince was an avid animal lover and loved the many dogs and animals he had throughout the years.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Delores Slingwine and James Dilley Jr., Uncle;Kenneth (Dilley) Shields; paternal grandparents; James Dilley Sr and Agnes Wilson.
Survivors include his sons, Shane Slingwine (Emily) and Nicholas Slingwine; maternal grandparents; Delton and Judith Slingwine, uncle, Richard Slingwine Sr (Christine); aunts, Jenny Thomas (Wayne), Brenda Cox (Jim) and Trish Shields; several cousins including, Richard Slingwine Jr, Jessica Perry, Destiny Slingwine and their children, Anthony, Savannah, Nathan, Ava, Tyler, AJ, and Roman; and Vince's girlfriend, Samantha Kirkendall.
