Age 73, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 after a long battle with Kidney Cancer.
Walt retired from Brandywine Construction in 2002. He was a member of the Teamster's Local 326. Walt was proud to belong to the "Saturday Night Gang", whose members are Classic car lovers.
Walt was preceded in death by his children, Jim, Cheryl and Christopher; and sister Lorraine. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Bea; his children, Tommy, Diana, Jeannie, Holly and Joyce; sister, Debbie; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1 PM on Monday, November 22 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. DuPont HWY, New Castle.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Walt's memory to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton RD., Suite 1200, Newark, DE 19713.
