Walter Klemanski, age 83, of Newark, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Walt retired after working for the State of the Delaware as a master electrician. He served in the Air Force for 8 years. Walt was a member of Holy Family Church. He was active in Post Cana where he briefly served as president. Walt was a Steelers and Penguins fan and enjoyed collecting coins. He loved to watch movies and to explore sci-fi. Walt could always be counted on by family and friends for help with home projects.
Walt was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Gloria Klemanski in 2010; brothers, Ray and Tom Klemanski and sister, Bernice Klemanski.
Survivors include his son, Adam Klemanski; daughter, Heather Klemanski; grandchild, Jaedyn Essex-Klemanski; siblings, Wanda "Tangee" Graff, John Klemanski, Jeannie Klemanski, and Alice Buzzy and dear friend, Pat Pfiefer.
Memorial Services will be at 11 am on Friday, July 30 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10:30.
