Walter Ostrishko

d. January 15, 2025

Walter Ostrishko, 87, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

He was born in the great country of Ukraine until his family moved to the United States in 1949. He was always very proud of where he came from. He then served in the United States Army, where he ended up earning his citizenship. When he returned from deployment, he met his soulmate, Monica Aievoli. They shared 62 years of marriage together until her passing in 2023. Walter began his career in retail and then he and his wife operated a family drug store for years. Throughout their early life, he and his wife loved to travel the world together during their free time. Walter enjoyed many things, but some of his favorites were fishing, gardening, bird watching, and staying up to date on current events. Although he loved all Philadelphia sports, he was an avid Flyers fan. In the last months of his life, Walter was cared for daily by his devoted son-in-law, Mark, with constant support from his loving daughters.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife Monica Ostrishko; parents, Dymtro Ostrishko and Anna Derevianko; siblings, Luba, Valentina and Anatoly (Tom); son-in-law, Steve Koria; and several brother and sister in laws.

He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Ann Koria, Deb Quinn (Mark) and Kathleen Dellinger (Chuck); brother, John; grandchildren, Monica Allmond (Will), Kristi Felts (Steve), Erica Jenkins, Gina Dellinger (Joe), Ryan Barlow (Jill), Juli Dellinger, and Charlie Dellinger; great grandchildren, Andrew, Brayden, Liam, McKinley, Michael, Dominick, Olivia, and Chance; brother-in-law, Nicola Aievoli (Ann); sisters-in-law, Kathy Ostrishko, Rosemarie Scott, and Perry Durkin (Paul); several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
