Wilbur L. Butler, age 65, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 due to complications from pneumonia.
Wilbur was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed horseracing at Delaware Park, bowling and watching his grandchildren play baseball.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Adele Butler; his brother, Miggy and his sister, Sissy. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgette; daughters, Bobbie Lasako and Belynda Dalecki and her husband Kevin; his son, Lee Butler; his grandchildren, Darron, Amanda, Jesse, Tyler, Angel and Aliya, his great grandson, Zeth; his son-in-law, Darron Lasako and daughter-in-law, Ali Butler; his brothers, Bob and Jack; and his sisters, Betty Lou and Patsy.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 12 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private.
