William Denver Garrison, Jr. 61, passed unexpectedly at 6:12 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020, from complications sustained during cardiac surgery.
Denver was born in December 1958, in Gallipolis, OH and lived in Ohio for many years. He attended Bowling Green State University and the University of Findlay where he did undergraduate work in Music Education. Denver holds a Masters of Fine Art from Rutgers University with a concentration in theater.
Over the years, Denver has put his skills and imagination to work doing everything from owning a theater to working as a Project Manager at a large financial institution.
Denver settled in Wilmington, DE and spent the majority of his time focused on his 3 daughters. He supported them in every way possible, reading with them, making up funny stories, teaching Sunday school, attending soccer and field hockey games and every play and concert. Denver is known for his kind heart for all people and animals, hearty laugh and his never-ending supply of Dad jokes.
He is survived by his beloved mother Mildred Garrison, sister, and brother-in-law Susan and Ed Feher, and three daughters, Tyler, Kelsey, and Megan Garrison, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by father, William Denver Garrison (Denver).
A Celebration of Life ceremony is being planned for June 25, 2020. Additional details will become available as they are finalized.
