Bill passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, a day before what would have been his 87th birthday. He was a Millwright for 35 years at the DuPont Experimental Station before he retired in 1990. Bill served in the Navy. He enjoyed puzzles, fishing and trips to Delaware Park.
Bill was preceded in death in 2008 by his wife of 28 years, Barbara A. Wahle. He is survived by his son, William C. Wahle, IV; stepchildren, Diane McCaffrey (Bruce), Charlene Pingitore (James), Raymond Thorp and Jacqui Stewart; his grandchildren, Billy, Chris, Alyssa, Katie, Matthew, Gregory, Brianna and Ashlynn; great grandchildren, Cali, Dakota and Luca.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Monday, November 16 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
