My Favorite Uncle

My favorite Uncle is Uncle Tony....He missed his calling at being a stand up comic!  There was never a time when he could not make me smile or laugh...and he often had me laughing so hard that my stomach hurt.  Shockingly I never peed my pants haha!  As I mourn the loss of my Uncle....I also celebrate his life!  For he was a kind hearted man, who was generous and loving.  Everyone who knew him loved him.  And it didn't take long to do so.  He was compassionate and kind.  He LISTENED and always had some good advice!  He could make you feel better when you were at your worst....and make you realize that today isn't a life sentence!  That things would get better...and they always did.  Some of his last words to me were to stop being hard on myself....to realize that when things are "supposed" to happen, they "will."  And he is right!

I remember so many fun times...and there are too many to mention!!! ....so perhaps I will just mention the one.  It was the week he married Aunt Ro in Vegas..and I married my ex-husband Kevin.  We had all had a blast at the Riviera Comedy Club ...and then tore UP Circus Circus!  LOL!  With about $60 among us we just KEPT WINNING!!!!  And WINNING!  And we must have walked out of there with at least two grand!  The excitement, laughter and happy tears were just too much!  The screaming as we kept winning and laughter was unimagineable!  And when security told us to keep it down because other people were losing and upset...well ...what do you think happened? LOL!!!  Yep! We got LOUDER!  We never had more fun!

But there was another minute...when Uncle Tony and Aunt Ro were visiting and we were at Sam's Town...Uncle Tony was playing a triple play deuces wild machine and was DEALT Deuces!   He gasped and yelled:  Don't touch anything!  Don't let me touch anything!  No one touch anything! :) LOL!!!!  Needless to say....he did not mess it up ...and was awarded his winnings :)!!!!  So so happy was he!!!!!

I will always remember my Uncle Tony for being the warm human being that he was.  He was hysterical with a great sense of humor....but he was much more than that!  He was KIND.  He LISTENED.  He was ALWAYS there for me if I needed a shoulder.  I didn't call as often as I should have.....but when I did....he was there!  He was encouraging through my many bad times....and often told me to stop worrying.  He tried to teach me to just "live"!  And I'm still trying to learn that.

My Uncle Tony meant more to me than anyone may know.  My heart is breaking as this is the third time now that I have tried to type a story for him.

To my cousin Anthony and My Aunt Ro:  I am here if you need me!  I am here to listen and cry with!  I am here for whatever you may need!  I love you!!  This is a tragic loss....however, I'm sure we are all glad that he is no longer suffering!!!

Godspeed Uncle Tony!  Until we meet again!  I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
